  <description>Erk, it&apos;s been so long since I&apos;ve updated this journal...but I had a good reason!!  I was rushing around like crazy before summer started to get ready...for my trip to JAPAN!!  ^^&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I&apos;m there right now, actually.  And it is amazing here.  Like all my wildest dreams come true! &amp;lt;3  Maybe I&apos;m getting a little carried away...but it is incredibly fun and I&apos;m already planning a return trip XD&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I love Japan...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;日本が大好き♡</description>

  <title>BroComi - Kamui Academy</title>

  <description>I just recently got Broccoli Books&apos; (Kamui&apos;s english publisher) newsletter for Jan 2007 and it has something pretty fun for Kamui fans ^.^  Broccoli Books does a monthly webcomic called BroComi, (Broccoli + Comic = BroComi - clever, isn&apos;t it? XD) and this month, they&apos;re featuring none other than Kamui!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a name=&quot;cutid1&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;It&apos;s called &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.broccolibooks.com/webcomic/index.htm&quot;&gt;Kamui Academy&lt;/a&gt;, and it&apos;s an omake (bonus comic) to be included in Volume 6 about an alternate universe in which NOA is a highschool and the Kamui cast all go there.  The BroComi site however, is only alotted 20 pages and the omake is supposed to have 21, so it&apos;s missing the last page.  We&apos;ll just have to wait &apos;til Feb 14 (the current release date of Vol 6, to my knowledge) to get the last page!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I thought it was hilarious ^.^</description>

  <title>Kamui related stuffs</title>

  <description>For all the Kamui fans out there (this will be posted in the Kamui community shortly) I have some news: Kamui has a &lt;a href=&quot;http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KAMUI_%28manga%29&quot;&gt;Wikipedia Page!!&lt;/a&gt;  XD&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Lots of good stuff here, including the &lt;b&gt; kanji &lt;/b&gt; for the main characters names!!  This was a huge thing for me, because I&apos;ve been dying to know the kanji for their names since I fell in love with the series ^.^&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyways, for anyone interested (and anyone whose computer can read kanji, I guess) here are the kanji meanings...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a name=&quot;cutid1&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt; &lt;b&gt;Hasumi Atsuma&lt;/b&gt; - 蓮見 敦真&lt;br /&gt;The first character for Atsuma&apos;s name (敦 atsu) has a couple different meanings: warm, kindly, work hard, big.  The second character (真 ma) can mean: true, genuine, sincere, pure, just, right.  So...deep down, Atsuma is a sincerely kind person XD  First character of his last name (蓮 hasu) means: lotus flower.  The second character (見 mi) means to see (miru: the verb &apos;to see&apos;).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Senou Sumire&lt;/b&gt; - 瀬能 菫&lt;br /&gt;Sumire (菫) means violet, as in, the flower.  First kanji of her last name (瀬 se) means: shallows, shoal, rapids.  Second (能 nou) means: ability, function, skillfully; also can mean: Noh drama.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Tachibana Shui&lt;/b&gt; - 橘 朱衣&lt;br /&gt;First character (朱 shu) means red.  Second (衣 i) means: clothing, garments, kimono.  His last name (橘 tachibana) means: mandarin orange.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Kojoumaru&lt;/b&gt; - 虎杖丸&lt;br /&gt;A whopping three kanji for this one XD.  First (虎 ko) means: tiger or...drunkard *hysterical laughter* I&apos;d go with tiger, personally ^.^  Second (杖 jou) means: staff or cane.  Third (丸 maru) is a common ending for male names, it means: circle, entire, complete.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Kenjou Shiki&lt;/b&gt; - 剣城 シキ&lt;br /&gt;...Shiki&apos;s first name is spelled in katakana, an alphabet used for words borrowed from other languages (or just to put emphasis on Japanese words, or make them look cool ^.^).  So...no kanji meaning.  The first kanji of his last name, however, (剣 ken) means: sword.  The second (城 jou) means: castle.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Kasuga Aika&lt;/b&gt; - 春日 アイカ&lt;br /&gt;Same for Aika as with Shiki.  Katakana and no kanji.  The first character of her last name (春) means: srping, beginning of the year.  The second character of her last name (日) means: sun, day.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Kuryuu Yanagi&lt;/b&gt; - 九利生 柳&lt;br /&gt;Yanagi (柳) means willow tree &amp;lt;3.  His last name, first kanji: nine.  Second kanji: advantage, interest, make effective, work, use.  Third: life, birth, grow.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Hyde&lt;/b&gt; - ハイド&lt;br /&gt;Not Japanese in the least XD  No kanji here, just the katakana for Ha-i-do, which comes out as Hyde in English.  Dr. Jekyll&apos;s alter ego, anyone?  Mr. Hyde ^.^&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Hasumi Utsuho&lt;/b&gt; - 蓮見 空穂&lt;br /&gt;(空 utsu) means: sky, empty, vain, hollow.  (穂 ho) means: ear (of corn), head of grain.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I think that there&apos;s a lot of symbolism in the names...it&apos;s up to the interpreter though, to decide what they &lt;i&gt;really&lt;/i&gt; mean ^.^&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;(P.S. God I love my kanji dictionary &amp;lt;3)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Also, the Wikipedia page lists the Seiyuu (Voice actors) for the Kamui Drama CD!! Paku Romi and Kuwashima Houka are some of my favorite voice actresses...and I&apos;m really looking forward to hearing how Sakurai-san, Morikawa-san and Hisakawa-san voice Atsuma, Shui/Utsuho and Sumire - and all the other voice actors for that matter!  When I first saw that Shui and Utsuho have the same voice actor, I thought it was just budget cuts or something XD  But it makes sense with that whole thing where apparently their voices sound similar (the same?).  Since they&apos;ve made it such a big deal here, it makes me wonder why exactly Shui has Utsuho&apos;s voice...hmmm...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But all these popular seiyuu...I mean wow, this was way more than I expected to be honest, geez, we have main characters from Fullmetal Alchemist and Inuyasha here!! (two of the select anime that have made it to airing on TV in Canada, relatively uneditted.  And trust me, an anime has to be pretty popular to air on regular cable in Canada ; D This is mostly a joke...anyways, Canadian otaku like me would think it&apos;s funny ^.^;;)  This has actually made me really, &lt;b&gt;really&lt;/b&gt; hopeful for a Kamui Anime.  The Drama CD has seiyuu that have done several main characters in other series, many of which are extremely popular.  And it&apos;s just a Drama CD!!  I really hope the make an anime... *crosses fingers*  &lt;strike&gt;As long as it&apos;s not done by Bee-Train.&lt;/strike&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyways, I&apos;m exhausted, so goodnight!   <description>Here are a bunch of icons, made by me, for two of Shingo Nanami&apos;s manga series, Kamui and Natural Kids.  Some of them are a little old now, so they may not look as good ^.^;;  Also, some of them imply shounen ai pairings, so you&apos;ve been forewarned.  Anyways, I&apos;d appreciate credit, but it&apos;s probably unrealistic to expect everyeone to, ne?   <description>Okay, so it&apos;s been a while, but school has had me busy (that&apos;s what I get for having all my language courses in one semester, heh) and I haven&apos;t had much to post anyways. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It&apos;s been a while since I&apos;ve tried to post images and pictures anywhere, so I&apos;ve just relearned how to do that ^.^;;  But now I can finally put up some icons and the like!!  I think I&apos;ll just use one post to contain the majority of my icons and keep adding to it over time, just for the sake of making things more convenient for me XD  I&apos;ll also put it in my memories and post links on any communities that are interested in fandoms that I&apos;ve made icons for.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, I just need some time to get my icons hosted, then I&apos;ll post them here.   <description>Well, I&apos;ve been busy here because of going away on holidays and getting ready for school again (which starts tomorrow by the by T.T) but I should actually start posting stuff on this LJ after I get my daily routine back in order.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I also have icons and some short ficlets to post (after they&apos;re editted, maybe&amp;nbsp;^.^;;) but...I&apos;m tired and I need sleep if I&apos;m going to make it to school on time.&amp;nbsp; I have English first period this semester...and it&apos;s my favorite subject so I can&apos;t be late!&amp;nbsp; ; D&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So...konbanwa!</description>

  <description>Hello all.  *bows to nonexistant masses*&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Remick here.  This journal was really created for the purpose of hosting various fanfics of mine (mostly for my favorite anime/manga of the moment, Kamui &amp;lt;3).  If anyone out there likes Kamui (i.e. the manga series by Shingo Nanami) email me, or comment on this journal or something, because I swear that NO ONE reads Kamui.  I need people to fangirl with XD&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Any fans of Mars Daybreak can contact me too.  I mean mecha, pirates, a dolphin in a robot suit, what&apos;s not to love?  Not nearly enough fans of this either...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So...other journals I&apos;ve had have had a tendency to...die.
